Green Drinks has just launched Organic October, a month of celebrating healthy living and encouraging Singapore residents to reduce their toxic load by choosing organic products for personal wellbeing and health of the planet.

Organic October runs alongside Breast Cancer Awareness month to further highlight the dangers of toxins in the environment, and retailers of organic beauty and lifestyle products and services have prepared promotions for the month-long campaign.

In addition, we have launched a bold microcampaign titled “Make the Switch” to encourage a change in consumer behaviour. Through our shareable photo campaign, some individuals will be outing some well known brands and products for its not so natural ingredients, and sharing how they have made the switch to safer products. For the duration of October, Singaporeans can Make The Switch by swapping their non-natural/organic product for a discount on an equivalent product at participating outlets.

Just launched: The SaferSkin campaign

We are proud to announce that we have just launched the SaferSkin campaign, which raises awareness on toxins in personal care products and cosmetics in Singapore.

We have been working on this for the past year and our aim for this campaign is to educate women and men alike not just about the harmful effects of chemicals on the skin, but also encourage them to read the label and opt for safer products, whether it is for themselves, their children or pets. As a result, we hope to see beauty corporations move towards omitting toxins from their skincare and cosmetic formulations.

The website shows that there are safer alternatives in the skincare and beauty industry, in natural and organic skincare and makeup products, and provides tips on which toxic ingredients to look out for, local resources of natural and organic skincare and cosmetic products, recipes of natural skincare products, and news on the latest products and services that are skin and health-friendly.

For now, Green Drinks Singapore will actively promote the campaign through a dedicated website found at www.saferskin.org and social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest for a year.

We believe that everyone has a fundamental right to non-toxic consumer products for healthy and beautiful skin. Do support us in our push for safer personal care and cosmetics!
