Colours of Singapore

This year for the Singapore Eco Film Festival, Agy Textile Artist and Cheryl Cadeline Lee will attempt to break the Singapore Book of Record for the Singapore’s Largest Knotted Artwork made of Upcycled T shirts.

We need your help! Join us as we transform T-shirts into yarn and have them woven into our art installation showcased at the Singapore Eco Film Festival this November 3 – 4. Indicate which days you are able to make it and bring a pair of scissors and an old t-shirt.

Dates:
12 Oct (11am-5pm) – The Green Collective
13 Oct (11am-5pm) – The Green Collective
14 Oct (12pm-4pm) – Singapore Sustainability Academy
19 Oct (11am-5pm) – The Green Collective
28 Oct (11am-5pm) – The Green Collective

Please note that the venue on the 14th Oct is at SG Sustainability Academy, 180 Kitchener Rd, Singapore 208539. All other sessions are at The Green Collective SG.

FAQs

What are we making?
A 1.5 x 5 m long installation collage made from old t-shirts. We are replicating the flowers of Singapore in the style of Peranakan tiles!

What will we be teaching you?
How to make t-shirt yarn.
How to make the collage

What to bring?
An old t-shirt, any colour
A pair of scissors (if you have a pair!)

Note: ALL children should be accompanied by an adult
