Join us in mid January for this Green Drinks gathering with MP Louis Ng, in what is effectively a Meet the People Session with the green community.

Please raise any local environmental concerns with Louis, this feedback is helpful for him when drafting questions in parliament.

Louis Ng

Louis is a Member of Parliament for Nee Soon GRC and Chairman of the Nee Soon Town Council. He is also the Founder and Chief Executive of ACRES, a Singapore based charity advocating for an end to animal cruelty in Asia since 2001.

Louis received his Bachelor of Science in biology from the National University of Singapore and his Masters of Science in Primate Conservation from the Oxford Brookes University.

He has been a Grassroots Leader since 2008 and has served in the Youth Executive Committee, the Community Club Management Committee and the Citizen Consultative Committee in a number of constituencies.

In 2014, Louis was presented with the Advocate of the Year award in the inaugural Singapore Advocacy Awards. In 2011, Louis received the inaugural Yahoo! Singapore 9 award in 2011 which recognises nine Singaporeans who really made a difference in the past year. In 2007, Louis was presented with The Outstanding Young Persons of Singapore award. In 2002, Louis received the HSBC (Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited) / NYAA (National Youth Achievement Award) Youth Environmental Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution in the field of environmental protection and nature conservation in Singapore.
