GE 2015: Casting a Vote for Environmental Progress

With the general elections looming, Green Drinks is collaborating with PM.Haze, Hemispheres, Sharksavers, Foodscape Collective and individual environmental activists to look at a variety of green issues that affect Singapore, and what we would like to see communicated during the election period.

We have sent a brief questionnaire to active political parties to find out their position on green issues, and we hope to discuss their responses during this session.

In addition, we’d like to hear your views on what you would like to see the political parties do better at. Come down and share your views!

Date: 3 September (Thursday) 2015
Time: 7pm – 9pm
Venue: SingJazz Club, 101 Jalan Sultan, #02-00 The Sultan
Admission: Free
RSVP: Facebook or email greendrinkssingapore@gmail.com

We hope to see you there!

  • About Green Drinks Singapore

Founded in November 2007, Green Drinks Singapore is one of more than 800 cities with a Green Drinks presence.

  • We are a non-profit environmental movement that connects academia, green businesses, activists, community and government, for knowledge sharing and collaboration opportunities. We do this by organising informal talks every last Thursday of the month, over drinks! Once in a while, we hold discussions, documentary screenings and workshops to further engage the public and participants.
  • Started in 1989 in London, the Green Drinks movement is a self-organising network that is meant to be simple and unstructured. The global site can be found at www.greendrinks.org.
