There are many activities, including wildlife watching, marine education, mangrove kayaking, a national heritage cycling tour, coastal clean up, free guided nature walk, fly fishing demonstrations, stargaze, participate in a drawing workshop, and learn about green energy, among others. See the full list of activities here!

About Ubin Day

Ubin Day aims to celebrate our unique island that is loved by many from all walks of life. From the flora and fauna to the temples and scenery, we all can appreciate Ubin for it’s special rustic charm. Where else can you find so many habitats that are home to many living creatures or kampong housing? On this day, we hope to share this beautiful island filled with life and heritage with everyone!

Ubin Day was first held in April 2002 organised by Grant Pereira with the Singapore Environment Council. There was a second Ubin Day in 2003 but none since then. This is the first time in more than a decade that we are trying to do another Ubin Day! More about the first Ubin Day in Elements http://tinyurl.com/firstubinday

  • About Green Drinks Singapore

Founded in November 2007, Green Drinks Singapore is one of more than 800 cities with a Green Drinks presence.

  • We are a non-profit environmental movement that connects academia, green businesses, activists, community and government, for knowledge sharing and collaboration opportunities. We do this by organising informal talks every last Thursday of the month, over drinks! Once in a while, we hold discussions, documentary screenings and workshops to further engage the public and participants.
  • Started in 1989 in London, the Green Drinks movement is a self-organising network that is meant to be simple and unstructured. The global site can be found at www.greendrinks.org.
