Green Drinks December & Beyond Business As Usual: Systems, Risks, and Opportunities

Following the successful September event focused on the Limits of Growth, the Beyond Business as Usual series will take it a step further in December to look at how firms are practically tackling the strategic issues of sustainability and then recalibrating their models.

With Gordon Falconer (Director of Urban Innovation, CISCO Systems), Iolanda Meehan (Director of Strategic Service, Haworth), and Mario Van der Meulen (LPK Design) sharing their experiences at the  December 5 event, participants will gain a tangible understanding of how firms are looking across their value chains for opportunity recalibrate their processes, products, and people, reduce risk, and increase opportunity.

With our goal to move beyond inspiration to action, participants will gain insight and tools in areas of design, manufacturing, materials, and reducing waste, so that when you leave the room you will be able to apply what you have learned to take a step forward in driving sustainability forward in your organization.

Sponsored by EATON and Haworth, and in partnership with Green Drinks Singapore, we hope that you will join us in this evening of discussion and learning.

  • About Green Drinks Singapore

Founded in November 2007, Green Drinks Singapore is one of more than 800 cities with a Green Drinks presence.

  • We are a non-profit environmental movement that connects academia, green businesses, activists, community and government, for knowledge sharing and collaboration opportunities. We do this by organising informal talks every last Thursday of the month, over drinks! Once in a while, we hold discussions, documentary screenings and workshops to further engage the public and participants.
  • Started in 1989 in London, the Green Drinks movement is a self-organising network that is meant to be simple and unstructured. The global site can be found at www.greendrinks.org.
