CSR event – Global Partnerships, Local Impacts: Access to basic needs

Global Partnerships, Local Impacts: Access to basic needs for vulnerable populations

This conference organized by Nexus-Carbon for Development will take place on 12th July 2013 from 8.30am – 7pm at the Matrix @ Biopolis in Singapore.

How can private sector funding best meet the needs of clean development entrepreneurs?  What lessons can be learnt from new initiatives such as crowd-funding or customer/staff engagement platforms? The event will bring together project developers, private sector donors (corporations and individuals) and crowd-funding organizations to share lessons about successful global-local partnerships and connect promising projects with private sector companies.

Speakers include representatives from Deutsche Post DHLAccorMilaap, and much more (see agenda here). The speed networking session, facilitated by the Facilitators Network Singapore, will connect private companies with projects fighting both climate change and poverty. The event will be followed by a cocktail.

Seats are limited. To register, please send the registration form, available here: http://goo.gl/DPNDL) to contact@nexus-c4d.org.

  • About Green Drinks Singapore

Founded in November 2007, Green Drinks Singapore is one of more than 800 cities with a Green Drinks presence.

  • We are a non-profit environmental movement that connects academia, green businesses, activists, community and government, for knowledge sharing and collaboration opportunities. We do this by organising informal talks every last Thursday of the month, over drinks! Once in a while, we hold discussions, documentary screenings and workshops to further engage the public and participants.
  • Started in 1989 in London, the Green Drinks movement is a self-organising network that is meant to be simple and unstructured. The global site can be found at www.greendrinks.org.
