Senior Manager / Manager (Sustainable Development) 

Job Description 

The Senior Manager / Manager, Sustainable Development will be a key member of the team, playing an instrumental role in assisting to develop, shape and drive the overall strategic direction of SDBG. The incumbent is required to take ownership and effectively implement a suite of initiatives that will help promote Singapore’s Sustainable Development Business Community on the global stage. He/she is required to identify and assist in the advancement of made-in-Singapore technologies within areas of research, test-bedding, adoption, energy efficiency and other sustainable development aspects

Responsibilities

· Collect market intelligence and formulate strategic initiatives to serve the needs of SDBG members

· Promote Singapore’s Sustainable Development sector through global networks

· Provide market access via mission trips to connect Singapore’s Sustainable Development companies to regional and international markets

· Independently execute initiatives/programs within allocated timelines

· Assist in managing the Business Group and oversee core membership activities, events, networking sessions and project meetings to meet assigned objectives 

· Manage triple-helix collaboration model amongst research, industry and government agency partners in joint activities/programs within areas of clean energy and sustainable development

· Prepare timely and accurate budgets/workplans on a regular basis

Pre-requisites

· Degree holder with preferably 5 or more years of relevant working experience

· Demonstrate good understanding of Environmental, Clean Technology and Sustainable Development sectors and various initiatives/programs relevant to the industry

·Possess strong conceptual and analytical thinking skillsets in order to understand and address the needs of Singapore’s Sustainable Development Business Community

· Possess excellent communication skills for effective engagement at both local and international levels

· Able to engage, manage and deliver effectively within the project team and various stakeholders

· Prior experience in industry development or working with public sectors will be advantageous
