Second life for billboard banners

If you are looking for a fancy eco bag that is unique, consider Demano.

Known for its festivals, Spain once had a large supply retired billboard banners, and nowhere to go. Then Demano was born.

Named after a place in Barcelona, products are unique with none that are alike, and each piece highlights the banner designs of some of the most innovative contemporary designers and graphic artists in Europe. Products range from $89 for a wallet to $179 for larger messenger bags. Bags feature different fastens such as clip ons, velco, zips of various shapes and sizes.

Currently, they are distributed in Echo at Wheelock Place, Barefoot in Ion, Totally Hot Stuff at The Cathay, CocoClub, Holland Village, and  Qi-Global’s online shop.

We love it!

  • About Green Drinks Singapore

Founded in November 2007, Green Drinks Singapore is one of more than 800 cities with a Green Drinks presence.

  • We are a non-profit environmental movement that connects academia, green businesses, activists, community and government, for knowledge sharing and collaboration opportunities. We do this by organising informal talks every last Thursday of the month, over drinks! Once in a while, we hold discussions, documentary screenings and workshops to further engage the public and participants.
  • Started in 1989 in London, the Green Drinks movement is a self-organising network that is meant to be simple and unstructured. The global site can be found at www.greendrinks.org.
