Change.org reported over the weekend that Citibank has responded positively to a petition against their shark fin campaign that offers its cardholders a 15 percent discount at Imperial Court Shark Fin’s Restaurant.
Fortunately, Citibank has pulled the promotion, deciding instead that it is not in line with their CSR objectives. This move comes hot on the heels of Citibank in Hong Kong canning their shark fin promotional tie up with a restaurant after some noise from its citizens.

Incidentally, Matsugawa at The Pines has a Bluefin Tuna promotion slated for 4 September 2010, which is appalling. Time to make some more noise?
