Formula Green

Singapore Environmental Council (SEC) is kick starting their annual Green Transport Week event tomorrow evening at 7pm with a bang.

SEC have organised a concert to raise awareness of the impact of travel on the environment, it features performers Kumar, Jack & Rai, and Alemay Fernandez to name a few. Singapore Management University (SMU) is the performance venue.

Besides attending the concert, there are a few ways that you can participate:

  1. Join their mass cycling event. If you own a bicycle and wish to lend your support to Green Transport Week, ride along with other like-minded individuals from three designated points to SMU. See details here.
  2. Check out the exhibition, which highlights modes of green transport around Singapore. Find out more here.
  3. Make your green transport pledge in writing  here.

  • About Green Drinks Singapore

Founded in November 2007, Green Drinks Singapore is one of more than 800 cities with a Green Drinks presence.

  • We are a non-profit environmental movement that connects academia, green businesses, activists, community and government, for knowledge sharing and collaboration opportunities. We do this by organising informal talks every last Thursday of the month, over drinks! Once in a while, we hold discussions, documentary screenings and workshops to further engage the public and participants.
  • Started in 1989 in London, the Green Drinks movement is a self-organising network that is meant to be simple and unstructured. The global site can be found at www.greendrinks.org.
